We have built nursery schools in four villages. The newest was completed in December 2020!

The founders of Impact Malawi are Kevin and Sandy Smith, who visited Malawi in 2005 and through the help of a local pastor were introduced to the headman of the village of Hanoke in the Chitedze valley. They began to assist this one village and over the last few years have included 29 other villages. Kevin is a pastor, the executive director of Impact Malawi, a former Police Chaplain, a counsellor and the author of the Co-Creation principles.

John and Joan Childs spent three months in Malawi every year from 2008 to 2015. John was a science teacher for 35 years, and now enjoys managing and/or implementing the village projects. Joan was also a teacher and administrator for 35 years and is now the administrator for Impact Malawi. One month visits in 2017 and 2019 were wonderful. Plans are underway for another three month visit in 2024.
